Who We Are
You have probably heard the saying, “you are what you eat.” Here at Simply You, we like to modify that a bit: “You are what you absorb.” This covers nutrition but we believe it goes far beyond! We believe in starting with the foundations first. You would not build a house on a mud slide without first pouring concrete. The same goes for your body, mind, and soul! You can exercise for hours a day but if the foundations within your body and nutrition are compromised, health becomes harder to achieve.
Our nutritional therapy protocols focus on first helping you to achieve health through a nutrient-dense, properly prepared, whole food diet paired with a well balanced lifestyle. Within that we focus on the additional five foundations of: digestion, blood sugar, dietary fats (including essential fatty acids), minerals (including vitamins), and hydration. Our mission is to address symptoms and discomfort through these foundations rather than medicating and masking underlying issues! Our holistic nutrition professionals are passionate about harnessing the power of real food to empower people to reconnect with the innate wisdom and unique needs of their bodies, thereby supporting lasting wellness. Do not worry, your care does not stop at nutrition! Our goal is to go beyond and provide you with tools to balance your mind and spirit. With stress, constant access to technology, and the 24/7 work day, your mind has the potential to negate healthy changes within the body! Our movement and mindfulness protocols focus on centering, grounding, encouraging, & connecting to yourself. Because we truly believe that when you love yourself the possibilities are endless!
Why are we different? First and foremost we take a bio-individual approach. No two people are alike so the one-size-fits-all approach will be checked at the door! We understand that what might work for one body could make another go haywire. Every aspect of improvement you choose to embark on will be tailored to you and only you! We practice what we preach. This includes focusing on the foundations first in our own lives, honoring what works through ancestral wisdom & education, balancing the mind and spirit with the body, and giving back when and where we can! We are students of life and strive to continually expand our knowledge through experience and education so if we are unsure, we research! Lastly, while we take our work very seriously, we enjoy to have fun along the way, offer encouragement, celebrate successes, and help you find your bliss!
